Can You Explain The Working Of Solar Panels?

A solar water heater is connected to solar panels, which convert the incident sunlight into electricity that can be used in households and commercial buildings as an alternative to the commercial power supply. Solar power is affordable compared to regular power and hence is preferred these days. Let’s see how it works.

How does a solar panel work?

Sunlight is filled with photons; the panels consist of photovoltaic cells containing silicon. When the photons pass through the solar panels, the electrons in the silicon get into motion.

An electric current is generated and is sent to the electric distribution box, which eventually powers up your house. When the electrons are activated by increased Sunlight, a more significant voltage difference is attained within the solar panel, which develops more energy.

It also has a battery that stores the excess energy and supplies it when needed.
